Toby Ross

Elected to the GayVN Awards Hall of Fame in 2003 and with his Life Achievement Award from the Grabbys, Toby Ross is a certified legend in the gay adult world. Toby was born in Germany, in the town of Landsberg am Lech and then at the age of ten he moved to Israel. When he was 18 he came to California to go to school and became a film maker in SF under the auspices of the legendary gay porn director J Brian. In the '70s and '80s Toby shot all his films on 16mm and they had developed plots with gay romance as a common theme. Beginning in the new millennium, Toby began to make non-adult films in the gay cinema world. Official selections at many LGBT film festivals in the US, Toby's films are funny, smart and sexy. He's the rare director who is comfortable behind the lens of both hardcore and non-adult films.
