"Deadly Screams of a Naked Siren" somehow managed to get past me. Babaloo Studios used to let me know when they had a new film coming out but they did not this time so I was unable to get the first review up. Director Steven Vasquez goes back in his career to his second film, "A Siren in the Dark" and re-edited and re-enhanced it while upgrading it to HD. It also has a new soundtrack, a new storyline and erotic guys to look at.
This is a dark film about Christian (Tristan Adler), a college news reporter who sets out to interview Epiphany (Kory Anders), the niece of the only living person to escape a gender-changing Siren (Orion Cross), eleven years earlier. Secrets and truths are exposed as we learn about the motives of both parties.

The deadly siren was responsible for the murders of two young men Kevin McKendrick (James Townsend) and his abusive lover Danny Pennington (Todd Williams). Now eleven years later, Christian wants to know all the deviant sexual details. Director Vasquez tells his story in non-linear narration making it a bit difficult to follow--- it helps to see the film more than once to figure out what goes on. It begins with a driver at night on a road somewhere who gets introductions to a shortcut where he gives a hitch hiker a lift. What follows involves nudity and hallucinations, violence and . The original film is almost unrecognizable but I do have a problem with remaking a film that was only mediocre to begin with. Unfortunately the mediocrity remains while the music improves and there are new cute faces throughout the film. There is also a good deal of humor that I did not remember from the original (which I re-watched last night)

This new TLA Exclusive includes plenty of deleted scenes from both the original and redux along with never-before-seen "sexy" scene footage. By the way, James Townsend is still as cute as always.
